Terms of Service

By accessing or using VisionFI (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

VisionFI is operated by VisionFI (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.

VisionFI is a financial independence planning tool that helps you model your path to financial independence and early retirement (FIRE). The Service provides:

• Net worth tracking and historical snapshots
• Retirement projections and Monte Carlo simulations
• Scenario comparison and FIRE strategy modeling
• AI-generated explanations of financial concepts
• PDF report generation

VisionFI is an informational and educational tool only. We are not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, tax professional, or fiduciary. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice.

Projections, simulations, and recommendations generated by the Service are based on the inputs you provide and general financial assumptions. Actual results will vary. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

You should consult with a qualified professional before making any financial, investment, tax, or legal decision. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on information from the Service.

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Keep your password confidential and secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You retain ownership of all financial data, scenarios, and notes you enter into the Service (“Your Data”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We will handle Your Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written permission
• Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission

The Service uses large language models (Anthropic’s Claude) to generate explanations and insights. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You should verify any AI-generated information before relying on it.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI-generated content, and we disclaim all liability for decisions made based on it.

VisionFI may offer paid subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree to pay the fees indicated at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current billing period.

All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change subscription prices with 30 days’ notice; changes will not affect your current billing period.

The Service, including all software, designs, graphics, text, and other content (excluding Your Data), is owned by VisionFI and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

The Service integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Vercel, Anthropic, and Google OAuth. Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VISIONFI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VisionFI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
